Thanks to Ladies in Cinema Film Fest Jax, presented February 9, 2019 at University of North Florida, I received my first “Still Breathing” award. Actually, they called it their Achievement Award and I really was thrilled. Jill Donnellan received an Achievement Award too.
Ladies in Cinema Film Fest was created by Richard Kodai, director of many Jacksonville short film showcases, and Monique and Adam Madrid, directors of LOL Jax Film Fest, LOL Jax Zombie Film Festival and new city producers for Jacksonville, Florida’s 48 Hour Film Project.
The festival invited women who were writers, directors or producers of short films made in Jacksonville to submit their work. Fifteen films were selected to screen that night, including my comedy short Apocalypse Now & Then.
