The NRP radio station located in Jacksonville, Florida presented their 3×5 Classic Film Festival, March 28-30, 2014. Sharon Y. Cobb and WJCT’s Melissa Ross (host of “First Coast Connect”) introduced the opening evening’s film Citizen Kane. Sharon also introduced and spoke about Alfred Hitchcock’s Notorious on the closing afternoon. The festival was held at the beautiful Ponte Vedra Concert Hall and well attended by film fans.
Other films presented included The Wizard of Oz, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (introduced by Al Letson, host of “State of the Reunion”) and The Big Sleep (introduced by filmmaker Dan Solomon). The festival was programmed and organized by David Luckin, host of “ElectroLounge” on WJCT. The 3×5 Classic Film Festival’s sponsor was The Brumos Companies.
